Best of Philly 2003 Lunch
Morimoto
|
Diners have been raving about Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's omakase menu—a nightly guided culinary tour—since the place opened last year. But at $80 a head, the price is steep. Recently, though, the chef has begun offering a smaller lunchtime version starting at $40 for five courses (including dessert). Not only is the food superb, but the green glow of the sun shining through the tinted glass doors creates a different, more sedate atmosphere during the daytime, making Morimoto a wonderfully cool alternative for both midday business and pleasure (723 Chestnut Street; 215-413-9070).
