Standard Tap

Standard Tap is the type of neighborhood bar that makes you wish Northern Liberties was your neighborhood. This two-year-old tavern works hard at being local. The beer list features nearby brews — Yuengling, bottled 70 miles away, is the farthest reach. The chalkboard menu of unexpectedly inexpensive and inventive dinner options — the pulled pork sandwich with fries is excellent — draws from the region's produce, including lettuce grown a couple dozen blocks north in Kensington. And the regulars filling the hard-to-snag wooden booths come to chat with their neighbors or play a friendly game of Scrabble
