The term "dive bar" gets tossed around a lot to describe bars that aren’t even all that dive-y, but Jack’s Famous Bar is the real deal. It’s been open since the end of Prohibition and seems to have been only slightly updated since then. Drinks and food are truly cheap: A mug of Lager will set you back just $1.75, and you should eschew the average cheesesteak for the lip-smacking-good $4.50 hot roast beef.
