Word to the wise: If you want in on the Philly 10K coming up August 28th, you’re going to want to snag your spot, like, now. The organizers just let us know there are only 300 spots left in race. Considering they started with 4,500 spots on Monday morning, we’re guessing these last few will go like hotcakes. So, go get yours or deal with the FOMO come August.

The time has come, my friends: Time to register for the Philly 10K, coming up Sunday, August 28th! If you aren’t familiar with the race (where have you been??), it’s not your average race: The Philly 10K, in its 3rd year, is all about city streets (no Fairmount Park stretches here!), giving upward of 4,000 runners a neighborhood-centric course that ends with a giant block party — complete with free beer and custard!

You’ve survived a verrrry rainy Broad Street Run — congrats! Now it’s time to start talking about your summer race calendar, specifically the race you should have penciled in for Sunday, August 28th: The Philly 10K, of course! Last week, we chatted with race organizer Skip Stiles to get all the juicy details about this year’s race, which — as always — gives runners the awesome and unique experience of racing through 6.2 miles of Philly’s neighborhoods, ending with a sweet post-race festival that takes over neighborhood streets. Psst: that post-race festival includes free frozen custard (a drool-worthy Coffee and Donuts collaboration between Shake Shack and Federal Donuts) and Philadelphia Brewing Company beer, created specifically for the race for all. Can you BELIEVE the Philly 10K is already here?! Neither can we. But it is! So, to help you make it through the race (and, more importantly, to your free beer and custard) nice and strong, we got one of our favorite Philly runners, Rebecca Barber of the Rocky 50K, to put together an awesome playlist for you.
