Word to the wise: If you want in on the Philly 10K coming up August 28th, you’re going to want to snag your spot, like, now. The organizers just let us know there are only 300 spots left in race. Considering they started with 4,500 spots on Monday morning, we’re guessing these last few will go like hotcakes. So, go get yours or deal with the FOMO come August.

The time has come, my friends: Time to register for the Philly 10K, coming up Sunday, August 28th! If you aren’t familiar with the race (where have you been??), it’s not your average race: The Philly 10K, in its 3rd year, is all about city streets (no Fairmount Park stretches here!), giving upward of 4,000 runners a neighborhood-centric course that ends with a giant block party — complete with free beer and custard!

You’ve survived a verrrry rainy Broad Street Run — congrats! Now it’s time to start talking about your summer race calendar, specifically the race you should have penciled in for Sunday, August 28th: The Philly 10K, of course! Last week, we chatted with race organizer Skip Stiles to get all the juicy details about this year’s race, which — as always — gives runners the awesome and unique experience of racing through 6.2 miles of Philly’s neighborhoods, ending with a sweet post-race festival that takes over neighborhood streets. Psst: that post-race festival includes free frozen custard (a drool-worthy Coffee and Donuts collaboration between Shake Shack and Federal Donuts) and Philadelphia Brewing Company beer, created specifically for the race for all. Yes, please!
Below, everything you need to know about this year’s race, plus when to set your alarm for registration. Read up, friends! Read more »
Can you BELIEVE the Philly 10K is already here?! Neither can we. But it is! So, to help you make it through the race (and, more importantly, to your free beer and custard) nice and strong, we got one of our favorite Philly runners, Rebecca Barber of the Rocky 50K, to put together an awesome playlist for you. Barber has made many a long running playlist — she does run 50Ks for fun, after all — so you are in good hands. Good luck, folks! (And pssst: If you’re running this weekend, make sure to come by our tent at the finish line festival for some yoga for runners and massages after the race!) Read more »

Your training for the Philly 10K isn’t over quite yet, friends! This Friday at 6 p.m., we’re teaming up with our friends from Philadelphia Runner for our very last training run for the Philly 10K, a short two-mile shakeout run from Philadelphia Runner’s Center City store to the Philly 10K’s Bibs and Beers Pick-Up Party at Headhouse Shambles. And, as always, there will be beer awaiting you at the finish line. Read more »
As we told you guys a few days ago, the Philly 10K’s Bibs and Beers Pick-Up Party will be home to an official race store filled with cool gear, and it looks like we’re just getting a first glimpse: I was just scrolling through Instagram when I came across the Philly 10K’s very first post featuring merchandise for this year’s race, coming up August 30th — and if you’re a Philly runner, I’m pretty sure you’re going to want it.
We have a lot of emotions going on right now: On one end, we’re sad the summer has flown by so fast, but on the other, we are oh-so-excited that the Philly 10K is right around the corner. The Philly 10K Bibs and Beers Pick-Up Party — their pre-race party, because as they say, “Expos are lame” — at the Shambles at Headhouse Square is just two weeks away, people! Below, everything you need to know about the beer-filled, food-filled, fun-filled event.
Hey, runners! Our next training run for the Philly 10K with our friends from Philadelphia Runner is Monday, August 3rd, and it is going to be a blast. We’ll be meeting at the Philadelphia Runner Center City store (1601 Sansom Street) at 6 p.m. and making our way down to the PHS pop-up beer garden at 9th and Wharton where a nice, cold, free (!!) beer will be awaiting you.
