Refuel with Brunch and Beer at This $5 Pop-Up Workout For a Good Cause

Anything for a good cause, right?

Pop-up classes that happen early on weekend mornings are the bane of my existence. In my least whine-y voice, it’s just SO hard to peel my sorry behind out of bed for an 8 a.m. class. That said, Manayunk’s The Wall Cycling Studio is hosting a donation-based pop-up barre and cardio fusion class at a VERY approachable time for a weekend morning — 11:15 a.m. — and it comes with some serious perks like, post-workout brunch and brews. Plus, all the proceeds benefit a great local cause.

The workout is taking place on Sunday, February 11, at 11:15 a.m. at La Cabra Brewing (642 Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn). The event benefits the Be Kind Always Foundation — a local effort — which The Wall is an ambassador for — that aims to raise awareness about mental health while breaking down the related social stigmas — an effort to which The Wall is a direct ambassador.

For a minimum donation of $5, or $20 if you want a t-shirt — all of which will be directly donated to the Be Kind Foundation — the folks of The Wall will be leading a 45-minute body weight-driven “Bardio Sculpt” class — which is basically the workout love child of barre and HIIT. Burn some calories and then refuel with some brunch and brews at La Cabra, where ten percent of our check will be donated to the Be Kind Foundation as well.

The fine print: Be sure to bring your own mat, water, and towel. There’s free parking in the rear of the brewery (yes please!). Let The Wall know you’re coming by registering here.
