This Philly Spin, Barre, and TRX Studio Is Moving — And Doubling in Size

Don't worry: It's only moving three miles away.

We love ourselves some boutique gyms — especially when they offer multiple kinds of workouts, all with the same cushy, amenity-filled experience. That’s why we’re pumped that Torque — a boutique gym that specializes in indoor cycling, barre, and TRX classes — is giving us all a little more to love.

The studio, which is currently located Collegeville, is moving about three miles away to a new space in Royersford, where the studio will almost double in size. That means bigger everything: a bigger hangout space, a bigger childcare room (which will now have its own bathroom), and, yes, bigger studios.

The expanded studio spaces mean that Torque will be able to fit more people in classes — which, by the way, they’ll also be adding more of to the schedule. According to Torque owner Summer Fatzinger, the indoor cycling classroom is expanding from 25 bikes to 33, the TRX is going from 19 spots to 33, and the barre classroom is increasing from room for 23 to 33.

Fatzinger says she is also working to partner with a cold-pressed juice company, which means that you’ll be able to buy a bottled beverage after class for your post-workout recovery. Aside from the larger space, added class times, and juice retail, though, Fatzinger says the new space will still look a lot like the Torque clients have come to know and love.

Classes ($17 for a single session) will continue at the 1610 W Main St., Suite 404, Collegeville location through December 24. Between Christmas and New Year’s the studio will be closed for the move, and then starting January 2, the gym will be back up and running at 328 N Lewis Rd., Royersford.

Correction: The new studio will be located at 328 N Lewis Road, not 324, as previously stated.
