Three Queens Yoga Offering Veterans Free Yoga

The month of free yoga is part of the Veterans Yoga Project.

In 2015, President Obama pegged November as Military Family Appreciation Month. This month is also National Gratitude Month and the 11th is Veterans Day. To show respect and appreciation for our military, Three Queens Yoga is offering free yoga classes from November 1st through 30th to all active military personnel and veterans.

Three Queens is partnering with photographer Robert Sturman to participate in the Veterans Yoga Project. According to their website, the VYP is “an educational and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of military veterans.” As of now, Three Queens says they’re the only local yoga studio taking part in the program.

As Sturman recently wrote on Instagram, “Veterans Day is around the corner and our yoga community has an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of military families. I’ve traveled the country speaking and working with veterans who practice yoga, and it’s literally saving lives and restoring families to wholeness. Let us open our hearts and studios to veterans for the month of November. Invite these warrior souls to practice, so peace and healing can flow into their lives.”

To practice your Warrior pose for free, you just need to present your Veteran/Military ID to the studio before any class.
