Do This: Race to Race Street Pier

HgAthletics and Charge Performance and Wellness have some fun in store for you.

HgAthletics and Charge Performance and Wellness have teamed up for this month’s edition of the HgRunClub, taking place next Tuesday, July 25th, at 6:30 p.m. And let me just say, it’s sounds like it’s going to be a good one. The duo has conjured up a fun run of sorts: A race to Race Street Pier and back, with a few fun rest stops at local landmarks to mix it up along the way.

So here’s what to expect: The group will depart from Philadelphia Runner (1601 Sansom Street) promptly at 6:30 p.m. From there, Charge’s Charles Scogna will lead the group on a thoughtfully designed path of about 4.5 miles to Race Street Pier and back, stopping at Dilworth Park, Independence Hall and Washington Square for some short, all-levels mini bootcamp-style workouts along the way. Think: Squats, dips, jumping jacks, push-ups and mountain climbers, and more — you know, just to keep things interesting.

The run will end with a replenishing meal at Honeygrow (110 South 16th Street), where all runners will receive 20 percent off of their post-run meal, a la the standard HgRunClub style. Oh, and there will be prizes from Charge, so bring your A game, friends!

You can find all the details, including updates, for the run here.
