Nominate Your Health Hero: The 2017 Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge Is On!
Attention! The Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge is back for its sixth year, and we need to hear from you. The nomination form is now open, so go ahead — hustle! — over and tell us ALL about the wonderful people in the Philadelphia region who are helping to make your community healthier, from teachers to coaches to doctors to nonprofit founders. Really, anyone who is doing a great job of making the Philly area a healthier place to be.
To give you some background on the Health Hero Challenge: The Health Hero Challenge, brought to you by Independence Blue Cross, is our annual contest to honor local champions of health and wellness who are making the Philadelphia region a healthier, happier place to be. We’ll be collecting nominations through July 5th. Then, in August, Be Well Philly readers (that’s you!) will vote for their favorite Health Hero among 10 semifinalists chosen by the editors of Philadelphia magazine.
The Challenger who receives the most votes will snag the title of Be Well Philly’s 2017 Health Hero and they’ll be celebrated in a blow-out celebration, featured in Philadelphia magazine, and they’ll win a donation of $10,000 to the charity of his or her choice. The two runners-up will also each receive a $2,500 donation to the charity of their choice.
