Don’t worry: It’s right around the corner from where they are now.

Listen up, Callowhill yogis! The folks at Roots Philly Yoga Project, which opened at 925 Spring Garden Street about two years ago, announced on Instagram that come October, they’ll be downward-dogging in a new space. Don’t worry though, studio devotees: The new spot is just a two-minute walk away from their current outpost (really, we Google-mapped it).

As the Instagram post announcing the move says, “We are inspired by each individual person that shows up to practice at our studio, and we have learned so much about ourselves in the two years since opening our doors. We continue to grow in our teaching offerings, and in our relationship to Philadelphia and this neighborhood, thanks to you. To show our appreciation we have decided that now is the best time to upgrade our studio. Come October, Roots will move just around the block to the corner of 10th and Buttonwood Streets.”

The Instagram post goes on to say that the new two-floor studio will have two studio classrooms (they’ve got one at the current space), a bathroom complete with a shower, a lounge area, and they’ll be offering more services. Think: community acupuncture. Sounds like they’re movin’ on up, both literally and figuratively. You can see Roots’ full Instagram post below.

With Roots’ two year anniversary a month away, we wanted to share news that your yoga community will have a new home this Fall. Lauren and I are so very grateful for your steadfast commitment to this community and your faith in us. We are inspired by each individual person that shows up for practice at our studio, and we have learned much about ourselves in the two years since opening our doors. We continue to grow in our teaching, offerings, and in our relationship to Philadelphia and this neighborhood, thanks to you. To show our appreciation we have decided that now is the best time to upgrade our studio. Come October, Roots will move just around the block to the corner of 10th and Buttonwood Streets. We will have two yoga rooms, a full bath/shower, a comfortable lounge area, and additional services including community acupuncture. We will keep you posted during the building out process! Our studio will be the white building on the second and third floors. @artsandcraftsholdings #attherootofit #ashtangaphilly #growyourroots
