Psst: There’s a Secret Free Nighttime Running Party Happening Friday

#NightShiftPHL is having a birthday party!

Calling all night-owl runners! #NightShiftPHL, the after-dark group running workouts put on by Jon Lyons of Run215 and Suzanne Allaire, is turning two years old! (Time flies, right?) Naturally, to celebrate, they’re putting on a blowout #NightShiftPHL running party. And yes, you are invited. Details below.

The next #NightShiftPHL will go down tomorrow, Friday, March 31st, at 9 p.m. Runners will meet at 2nd and Spring Garden Streets by the mural (it lights up — you’ll know the one) and will head out for a three to four-mile run, complete with workout stops led by Allaire, ending at Adobe Cafe in South Philly for — wait for it — karaoke. And drinks. And FUN.

Anyone is welcome to join in on the fun; just make sure to come prepared — you’ll need some dinero for drinks and Allaire warns that the forecast is calling for rain, so dress appropriately and/or bring a change of clothes with you so you can stay for the fun without being forced to sing karaoke sopping wet. (Not the most fun.) And FYI: The birthday also coincides with the final night of City Fitness’s MyCityMoves campaign, which Run215 curated the fitness events for. So if you’re looking to get some more MEPs in, here’s your chance to squeeze some in under the wire.

You can keep up with Lyons and Allaire between now and the big shindig on social media (here and here) for any more info you may need. Happy running, party people!
