This week’s adoptable running dog is a cute, smaller — but energetic! — pup currently spending his days at PAWS. Like some humans, he’s a big fan of exercise, so if you’re looking for a workout partner to keep you accountable, he may be your perfect fit. Learn more about him below.

Name:  Charlie

Age:  1–2 years

Breed:  Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix

Size:  20 pounds

Background:  Charlie was found as a stray.

Running style:  Charlie likely will be setting a speedy pace for you. He is recovering from recent neutering but should be running again in a few days.

Why Charlie could be the right dog for you:  Charlie has lots of puppy energy and will need plenty of exercise or a big backyard. As a “working dog,” he also should enjoy structured doggie games, agility courses, etc. He seems to be interested in playing with other dogs and would do best in a home with older children or teens. Charlie will need obedience training to help him become a well-mannered member of your family.
