Surprise: The Next (Holiday-Themed!) #NightShiftPHL Pop-Up Run Is Wednesday

SURPRISE! It’s that time: Time for the next #NightShiftPHL, the occcasional after-dark fun-run events put on by Jon Lyons of Run215 and Suzanne Allaire of Runner’s World. Naturally, because ’tis the season, this one is holiday-themed.

Here’s the deal: This #NightShiftPHL — dubbed “Get Fit to Holiday Hits” — will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday, December 14th, at 8 p.m. (nice and early, for you early risers) at Philadelphia Runner’s Center City store. They’ll be collecting gently used winter running gear for Students Run Philly Style, so make sure to grab something — we hear hats, gloves and hats would all generate lots of cheers — from your running drawer before you head over to Philly Runner.

The run, in which we’re guessing you’ll be doing some burpees and the like to hits like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” (the best, right?), will end at Winterfest, on the Delaware River, where folks will drink and be merry. Lovely Wednesday evening, right?

The event is free to join in on and there’s no need to sign up ahead of time; just make sure to throw some dinero for the post-run fun into your leggings pocket, then head on over to Philadelphia Runner at 16th and Sansom Streets tomorrow, dressed in the most festive running gear ya got.
