SoulCycle Has Marked Its Territory in Center City

SoulCycle reminds us all they're coming with newly painted bright white building.

As I walked out of Honeygrow in Center City today (where there was, magnificently, NOT a line at prime lunch-rush time — thank you, line gods), I was confronted with the newly painted bright white building that is SoulCycle Rittenhouse, the second Philly-area location for the indoor cycling studio, slated to open this winter.

As we told you guys back in April, SoulCycle’s second Philly-area studio will be housed at 113 South 16th Street, where the furniture store Usona used to be. The cycling studio will take over the first floor, while showers and lockers rooms will be on the second floor. Originally, the studio was hoping for a late-fall 2016 opening, but it looks like they’re now aiming to open early next year.

We can’t say for sure when the brick building was painted and plastered with SoulCycle branding, but before going on vacation last week, I walked by and it was still a red brick building with remnants of Usona strewn around the inside. Whenever the paint job went up, it still — and probably always will — stands out. We’ll just be over here staring at it until we can get our cycle on inside.
