Earlier this week, the Internet was chatting away about how McDonald’s had begun giving kids fitness trackers as the free toy with Happy Meals. But before you run out to McDonald’s and grab a fitness tracker on the cheap, note that the fitness tracker’s abilities only go so far as counting steps and blinking according to how fast or slow you’re moving (it’s a free toy, after all) — plus, the fitness trackers seem to be giving kids skin issues. In response to reports of skin irritation, McDonald’s has pulled them.

As Terri Hickey, a spokeswoman for McDonald’s said of pulling the trackers from stores, “We have taken this swift and voluntary step after receiving limited reports of potential skin irritations that may be associated with wearing the band,” USA Today reports. From here on out, kids will be getting a different type of toy with their Happy Meals.

R.I.P. to that odd pairing.
