The 5K of Every Beer Lover’s Dreams Is Coming to Newtown Square This Fall

A 5K followed by unlimited beer samples and live music. Yes, please!

While a well-deserved beer can be the perfect way to cap off a hard run, the folks at Newtown Square Neighbors feel you deserve better. Their version of better: their new annual Pints in the Square Craft Brew Fest and 5K where runners get their sweat on, then are treated to unlimited samples of over 50 beers from over 25 regional breweries. Yes, unlimited samples.

The first Pints in the Square will go down Saturday, September 17th at the Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square. The day begins with a chip-timed out-and-back 5K from the Ellis Athletic Center, open to both runners and walkers, at 11 a.m. That’s followed by the four-hour Brew Fest, complete with live music, local food vendors and craft beer, which will be held in the nearby parking lot for the soon-to-come Whole Foods at Ellis Preserve. Proceeds from the event benefit the Newtown Square Fire Company.

There are a few different ticket prices you can choose from: $25 for just the 5K, $45 for entry to the Brew Fest only or, to get the best of both worlds, $65 for the 5K and the festival. For $10, designated drivers can get access to the festival and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. You can find out more and register here.
