What’s better than a free outdoor workout? A free outdoor workout that ends with a discounted noodle stir-fry from Honeygrow, am I right? And come May 9th, Honeygrow and Philadelphia Runner will be giving us all just that on a monthly basis with their new summer workout series. Eeeeeee!

Here’s the deal: Every second Monday of the month, starting in May and running through August, folks will meet at Philadelphia Runner’s University City location (3621 Walnut Street) at 6:30 p.m. to get their sweat on. The workouts will kick off with a short run — think: under a mile — to a spot where the trainer of the day will lead a butt-kicking sweat session. Then, after you sweat your face off, the group will head to Honeygrow’s University City location for some post-workout refueling, where everyone who participated will get 25 percent off. If you’re coming from work and lugging lots of stuff with you, you can leave it at Philadelphia Runner and it will be transported to Honeygrow, waiting for you after the workout.

There will be four workouts throughout the series, with trainers including Charles Scogna from Charge Performance and Wellness, Suzanne Allaire from the November Project, Perry O’Hearn from Philly Phitness, and Kiera Smalls from City Fit Girls. And there’s some incentive to get your sweat on, too: If you make it to three of the four workouts, you’ll be entered to win prizes from Philadelphia Runner and Honeygrow.

The workouts are free to join in on, and open to everyone. There’s no need to RSVP but you can find more info on the Facebook event page here. YAY for free outdoor workouts!
