We are here to start your day with some great news (You can thank us later): The ladies of Aqua Vida — yep, the same ladies behind this winter’s indoor stand-up paddle board fitness classes at Drexel and the SUP yoga classes at the Spruce Street Harbor Park the past two years — just let us know they will be making their way back to Spruce Street Harbor Park come warmer weather. And here’s the really good news: They are going to be offering way than just SUP yoga this time around.

As Aqua Vida co-creator Jana Mars tells us, classes will kick off on Saturday, June 11th (weather permitting). They’re still nailing down the official times for weekly classes, but she tells me they’ll have at least eight classes per week (doubling up from last year), and the schedule will feature a slew of new additions: Along with their Floating SUP Yoga classes, they’ll be offering their Floating Boot Camp class (that’s right: a boot camp class done entirely on a stand-up paddle board), weekly donation-based SUP meditation classes, monthly full moon SUP yoga classes, and weekly clean-up nights, where they’ll team up with local yoga and fitness studios to host a SUP yoga class followed by a clean-up of the harbor — done on stand-up paddle boards, of course. When it comes to pricing, they’re planning on offering class packages, another new addition.

They also tell us they’ll have more boards, which means more of us can get in on the action. Yay! Aqua Vida will be announcing the official schedule through their newsletter, which you can sign up for here. Until then, we’ll just be sitting here, dreaming of sunny, sweat-filled SUP sessions followed by heaping ice cream cones from from Franklin Fountain. (Because, honestly, who can resist?)
