For me, sometimes a $24 workout class feels totally reasonable — usually right after pay day. Then there are days when I’m like “Okay, dear self, you can go to that $24 workout class OR you can eat something besides beans for the next week.” And if you’re better at budgeting than I am, I applaud you — but still, doesn’t everyone love a free workout every now and then? Yes. The answer is yes. So below, where to find free or pay-what-you-can workouts around Philly every day of the week. Your wallet can give us a nice big hug later.

And a note: Come spring — i.e. the beginning of outdoor yoga season — we’ll have plenty more free workout classes to add to the list. Yippee!

MONDAY

What: Hot YINyasa for Cyclists and Runners // This 45-minute class is a blend of vinyasa flow and yin (poses held for longer than you might be used to), designed to work out the areas that runners and cyclists use the most. All of Philly Yoga Factory’s classes are pay-what-you-can.
Where: 1520 Sansom Street, Center City.
When: Mondays at 7:30 p.m.

TUESDAY

What: Run with Passyunk Beer and Java Runners // The PB & J Runners meet twice a week, and lucky for you, their Tuesday run is a beer run (!) lasting anywhere between three and five miles. Their java runs, a bit longer at four to seven miles, are Thursdays at 6:30 a.m. Runs are free, just bring a few bucks for your drink of choice.
Where: Passyunk Fountain, 11th Street and East Passyunk Avenue, South Philly.
When: Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

What: Yoga at the Art Museum // Every Wednesday night, pay-what-you-wish night at the Art Museum, Dhyana Yoga puts on two yoga classes that are free with admission. So go get your downward dog on then get your culture on.
Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Art Museum Area.
When: Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

THURSDAY

What: Run with the Fishtown Beer Runners // Why choose between happy hour and working out when the Fishtown Beer Runners exist? The group does a three- to five-mile run to a Fishtown bar every Thursday. Runs are free, drinks will cost you.
Where: 2346 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown.
When: Thursdays at 7 p.m.

FRIDAY

What: November Project at Lemon Hill // On Fridays, the grassroots free workout group meets for an early-morning workout at Lemon Hill. Expect to run some hills (because duh), and do other bodyweight moves like burpees and such. If Fridays don’t work for you, you can also catch the group getting their sweat on at the Art Museum Steps on Wednesday mornings.
Where: Sedgley Drive and Lemon Hill Drive, Art Museum Area.
When: Fridays at 6:25 a.m.

SATURDAY

What: Try a new studio, get a free class // Plenty of awesome studios around town — including Body Cycle Studio, Lithe Method, City Fitness, and CorePower Yoga, to name just a few — give new students their first class free. So pick something you haven’t tried before, call to see if they offer a new student deal, and have at it!
Where: All over the city.
When: Saturdays — or whenever else you’d like!

SUNDAY

What: Run with the Lululemon Walnut Street Run Club // Meet at the Lululemon Walnut Street store on Sunday mornings for a three- to five-mile run for all paces. Then go to brunch, because you so earned it.
Where: 1720 Walnut Street, Rittenhouse
When: Sundays at 11 a.m.
