Valentine’s Day is just a month away, folks! And if, come February 14th, you envision yourself hunkering down on the couch to watch The Notebook — again — pint of Ben & Jerry’s in hand, we have a better idea: Philadelphia Runner is hosting their annual Valentine’s Day Singles Run, a night of running, dancing and drinking with your fellow single Philly runners. So much better than drowning your sorrows in ice cream while mouthing along to Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’s whole “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird” thing, right?

If you’re wondering why I’m forcing you to think about Valentine’s Day already, it’s because registration for the run is already open and space is limited, so if you want in on the action, you should go ahead and reserve your spot now. What you can expect from the night: A three-ish mile group run from Philadelphia Runner’s Center City store at 6 p.m., followed by a night spent dancing and drinking at Raven Lounge. As the ticketing page says, the $30 entry fee gets you “two drink tickets, light food, dancing and the chance to meet that special someone … ”

So there you have it: Your not terrible — fun, actually! — Valentine’s Day plans. You can find out more and snag your ticket here.
