If you waited ’til the verrrry last minute to get into the holiday spirit, you are in luck! Whole Foods South Street (929 South Street) and Whole Foods Callowhill (2001 Pennsylvania Avenue) are giving away free Christmas trees today, while supplies last.
All you have to do to scoop up a tree is head to one of the two locations, visit their holiday table and whisper the secret free-tree code (pssst: it’s “lumberjack”) to the person working the table. Then, you’ll walk away, free tree over shoulder, like the urban lumberjack you are. But you’re going to want to hurry — we’re betting these free trees will go fast.
