Er, beware exploding ginger beer bottles, fellow Trader Joe’s shoppers. The grocery chain announced a voluntary recall this week of its Triple Ginger Brew soda after reports of unopened bottles of the stuff randomly, well, exploding.

The good news is, no injuries have been reported in connection with the bursting bottles, but TJs is asking that customers dispose of any product (verrrrry carefully) that they may have in their pantries or refrigerators at home. Bottles have already been removed from store shelves and destroyed. No explanation has been given for why the bottles are prone to shattering.

The affected products are 25.4-ounce glass bottles labeled distributed nationwide between November 9th and December 14th of this year. Trader Joe’s will provide a refund to customers who purchased the products at any of their store locations. Handle with care, friends.
