The Philadelphia Tweed Ride Returns This Weekend

Break out your dapper-est duds, ladies and gents: The Philadelphia Tweed Ride returns this weekend for a fancy-fied bike ride through the city.

Tweed-clad cyclists will gather tomorrow, November 14th, at 11 a.m. at the Philadelphia Water Works behind the Art Museum; the ride will begin at noon. The first stop will be at Rittenhouse Square, where you’ll take a few minutes to dance with the Lindy Hoppers. Then, you’ll press onward to Washington Square for a picnic (BYO picnic basket/food/drink/etc.), before tooling through Old City. Then it’s back to Rembrandt’s in Fairmount for an after party from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Here’s the turn-by-turn route, if you’re interested.

The ride is free, but you’ll need to bring money/ID for the after party. There will be prizes for the best dressed. All the info can be found here and on Facebook.
