If the only thing that will get you to lace up your running shoes is a giant glass of wine awaiting you at the finish line, you are in luck! Registration for the fifth annual Run the Vineyards 5-Miler, happening at Mullica Hill’s Heritage Vineyards April 24th, opened this morning. And not only does the race end with a nice big glass of wine, you’ll also be greeted with live music at the finish. Not a bad way to spend your Sunday morning, eh?

Along with wine and music, registration for the chip-timed race, which falls a week before Broad Street, will get you a souvenir wine glass, a tech shirt and free downloadable photos. Plus, post-race, you’ll be able to post up with your wine and play all the lawn games you can handle. And no offense to our lovely city, but we’re pretty sure the scenery — miles upon miles of vineyards — kind of beats the scenery of your usual Sunday-morning runs (mostly still-drunk people waiting in line for brunch and abandoned pizza plates).

Registration will run you $40 through December, then it jumps to $45 in January. And if you’re dead-set on running, you’re going to want to register early — this race always sells out. You can find out more and register here.
