Remember back in January when we told you about Crust Bakery, a new vegan bakery coming to West Philly? The ladies are up and running now, offering wholesale and catering services. (No brick-and-mortar shop yet, but we’ll keep you posted.) Tonight, they’re headed to Old City for a pop-up tasting

You’ll find them at Conversion, a new vintage and custom furniture shop at 38 South 3rd Street. The tasting is part of Old City’s First Fridays, so you can wander in and out of other stores and galleries while you’re there, too. Crust will be sampling goods from its catering menu, including citrus pistachio pound cake, S’mores bars, brownies, rosemary shortbread, and a few two-bite cookies and mini cupcakes. Plus, there will be several gluten-free and soy-free options. Conversion will provide drinks.

The Crust girls — Shannon Roche and Meagan Benz — will be there from 5 to 9 p.m. If you can’t make it tonight, they have several other pop-ups coming this fall, or you can always find their goods at Grindcore House and both locations of Joe Coffee.
