If this workweek felt long (even though it was shorter than most) I totally feel you. But the good news is, the weekend is oh-so-close and there are a ton of fun fitness events on the books to help you unwind, from a free beer run (yes, please!), to a challenge to see if you can beat a SEPTA bus, check out what’s on the roster, below.

1. The Craft BEERVENTURE Run
When: Saturday, May 30th at 12 p.m.
Where: Starts at Varga Bar, 941 Spruce Street, Washington Square West.

For this fun (and free!) beer run, you’ll get a secret BEERVENTURE map at the start, and your goal is to try and make your way to as many of the bars on the list (running, of course) as you can before 3 p.m., when you’ll need to be at the finish line. At the finish line, there will be a raffle for all sorts of cool stuff like a pair of Saucony shoes, gift cards to Philly bars, and whole lot more. The event is free, but your chances of winning a raffle item go up if you purchase a BEERVENTURE shirt at the start, and all proceeds go to Back on My Feet, so it’s totally worth it.

2. Beat the Commute Race
When: Friday, May 29th at 5 p.m.
Where: Starts at Philadelphia Runner, 3621 Walnut Street, University City.

During this post-work fun run, you’ll see if you can beat a commuter driving on 76 and a SEPTA rider from the Philadelphia Runner store in West Philly all the way to the Wissahickon Transportation Center outside of Manayunk. Beat the Commute — get it? The run is free to register, and you have the chance to win a boatload of bragging rights.

3. Grand Opening of Rev Indoor Cycling + Fitness
When: Friday, May 29th through Sunday, May 31st.
Where: 3342 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont.

This new 5,000 square foot space has two studios: One that will offer indoor cycling with sweet LED lighting and bikes with onboard computers, and another that will feature classes like REVBarre, REVBody, REVBox & Chisel and more. And for their grand opening, they’re offering a full weekend of free classes. So go, get your sweat on! Then refuel with complimentary fruit, which they’ll have at the studio all times. How lovely is that?

4. Detox Retox with CoreFitness
When: Saturday, May 30th at 10:30 a.m.
Where: Meet at 18th and Arch Streets, Logan Square.

Start your Saturday off right with CoreFitness’ 50-minute YogaFit class — then rehydrate with a beermosa at City Tap House. The class will run you $20 and includes your first post-workout beer or beermosa. Yes, beermosa.

5. Hot YINyasa Workshop for Cyclists and Runners
When: Sunday, May 31st at 1 p.m.
Where: Priya Hot Yoga, 1828 Callowhill Street, Fairmount.

This two-hour workshop taught by Justine Bacon — whose specialty just so happens to be yoga for cyclists — is designed to work out all the areas that runners and cyclists use the most like the shoulders, hips, lower back, and more. It’ll cost you $20, and trust us, your body will thank you.
