Get Ready for #ArbrewDay (You’ll Get a Free Yard Tree and Free Beer!)

What more could you ask for?

Well, here’s something to look forward to: On Friday, April 24th, in celebration of Arbor Day, Tree Philly is teaming up with Yards Brewing Company to bring free yard trees, free t-shirts and free beer to folks all across the city. They like to call it — wait for it — #ArbrewDay

Here’s the deal: From 4 to 7 p.m., folks from Tree Philly will post up at 10 bars across the city, giving away free yard trees on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person that takes home a tree will also get a free Yards beer, and a free t-shirt that say “Drink beer. Plant trees.” (I am seriously dying to add that to my wardrobe.)

There will only be 10 free trees available at each location, so if you plan on scooping one up, you’ll want to get to the bar earlier rather than later. The 10 bars celebrating #ArbrewDay are Frankford Hall, Kite & Key, City Tap House in University City, Society Hill Beverage, Philadelphia Beer Company, Shake Shack in Center City, Grey Lodge, Goat’s Beard, London Grill, and The Industry.

Trees are between four and six feet tall and come in a two to five gallon container when you pick ‘em up, so be prepared to haul it home. Consider it your workout for the day — we won’t tell.
