5 Gorgeous Yoga Retreats We’d Love to Be On Right Now

Yes, it’s technically the first day of Spring. But if you’re having a hard time picturing warm sunshine, bright flowers, and general post-winter happiness in the midst of this last-minute snowstorm, we’re right there with you.

So to help us put this frigid winter squarely behind us, we thought it appropriate to take a few minutes to dream about warmer climes and picture ourselves on sandy beaches, with the help of a few upcoming yoga retreats that sound pretty darn perfect right about now. All the juicy details are below. 

1. Tulum, Mexico

Yoga and Nutrition Retreat
Dates: April 19-25, 2015
Cost: Starts at $980

Hotbox Yoga’s Lindsay Lusignea is teaming up with Baltimore-area yogi Kate Manchester for this tropical retreat, which features daily yoga classes overlooking the Mayan jungle and lessons on nutrition and mindful eating. You’ll stay at La Calma, an ecofriendly resort in Tulum. Included in the cost are accommodations, vegetarian breakfast and dinner daily, airport transportation, and yoga and nutrition instruction.

Dana Hot Yoga Retreat to Greece

Participants will have the opportunity to do two-a-day yoga classes, but you’ll also have plenty of time to explore and make new friends. The price includes accommodations, yoga classes, breakfast, light lunch, two dinners, and a boat excursion to a beautiful marina town.

Pacific Yoga’s Pura Vida Yoga Retreat
Dates: July 25-August 1, 2015

Each day begins and ends with rooftop yoga overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In between, Philly yoga instructor Nicole McLane will keep you busy (if you opt for excursions, that is) as she plays tour guide in the town she once called home. Optional activities include mangrove and spice farm tours, horseback riding, catamaran tours and more. Lazing on the beach is perfectly acceptable, too.

Retreat to Italy with Dhyana Yoga
Dates: June 21-27, 2015
Cost: Starts at $999

Here’s what a typical day on this retreat to central Italy looks like: morning yoga, breakfast, yoga clinic (focus on posture, meditation, etc.), lunch, free time (get a massage, explore the nearby town, head to a local vineyard for a wine-tasting), dinner, free time, bed. Perfect, right? Dhyana Yoga’s John Vitarelli will lead this retreat to La Locanda del Gallo, a 17th century stone mansion that was turned into a boutique hotel in the 1990s. The price includes lodging, three daily meals, daily yoga, access to a heated jacuzzi and wood-fired steam shower, and a wine tasting with John.

Enchantment Yoga Retreat with Focus Fitness Main Line
Dates: November 7-14, 2015
Cost: Starts at $1,600

Focus Fitness’s Allison Sobel will lead this retreat to Blue Spirit yoga and meditation retreat center. The week will focus on the play between music, chanting and yoga, with daily meditation, live music and yoga sessions. All food is vegetarian, and you can do a hiking or zip-line excursion or plant it on the three-mile beach. The retreat center also has an infinity saltwater pool.
