I’m sure you already know this because you’ve gone ahead and planned your entire month around our March Fitness Calendar. But in case you were remiss (It’s right here! Geez!), I want to make sure you realize that the über popular Philadelphia Bridge Running and Happy Hour Training Program is back for a second year. Also worth noting: Organizer Carl Ewald, who doubles as the race director for the ODDyssey Half Marathon, emailed me earlier this week to let me know that there are only 45 spots left. So if you want in, you’d better sign up soon.

The six-week program gets underway on March 24th and will run each and every Tuesday through the end of April. Each week, a different Philly running club will lead the pack over the Ben Franklin Bridge and back. The runs end at Buffalo Billiards, where you’ll get a free Sly Fox beer. Each week also features a different charity partner, so you can use this as an opportunity to get to know local running clubs and running charities here in Philly.

It’s $30 for the full program. In addition to the beer and running buddies, participants also get a $15 voucher for a purchase over $75 from Philadelphia Runner and the opportunity to win door prizes. Profits from the registration fee go to charity.

The Fishtown Beer Runners will lead the first group run on March 24th, with the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation race training team stepping in as the featured charity of the week. The runs start at Philadelphia Runner’s Center City store (1601 Sansom Street).
