Free beer, bottomless hot chocolate, and a whole bunch of ugly snowman sweaters: These are just a few of the wonderful things you can expect to find at this year’s Ugly Sweater Run, coming to Philly December 13th. Let me repeat: Bottomless hot chocolate, people.

The gist of the Ugly Sweater Run is pretty self-explanatory: Don your ugliest holiday sweater and run (or walk) your way through 3.1 miles of Fairmount Park. And, as if witnessing a horde of grown-ups running in sequined reindeer sweaters doesn’t already sound amazing enough, all along the way to the finish line, folks will be doling out free hot chocolate. Then, once runners actually reach the finish line, holiday music will be blasting (plenty of Mariah Carey, if you’re lucky), and everyone over 21 will be greeted with a free Sam Adams Boston or Winter Lager or an Angry Orchard Cider. Oh, and did I mention the snow blowers? There will be snow blowers.

So, in short, it’s pretty much Christmas before Christmas.

Registration is $35, and it gets you all the perks mentioned above, plus a snazzy knit hat. Everyone is welcome to join in, including stroller-bound babies and toddlers. Proceeds benefit Save the Children. You can find out more and register here.
