If this face doesn’t make you squeal, I don’t know what will: Jazz is a sweet young pooch with lots of energy and smiles to go around. When she’s not trotting along the Schuylkill Trail with the Monster Milers, you can find her at PAWS’ Grays Ferry adoption center. Learn more about Jazz below.

Name: Jazz

Age: 1 to 2 years

Breed: Pit bull terrier mix

Size: 44 pounds

Background: Jazz was found abandoned on a vacant property.

Running style: Gentle and easygoing but totally game! Jazz is a delightful runner whose zest for life is contagious, and her smiles will bring joy to your sprints and your longer runs alike. Jazz loves to learn and is as bright as she is sweet—we can see her learning basic obedience on the hoof with great ease.

Why Jazz is awesome: This special girl has become a volunteer favorite quite quickly. She has puppy-like energy as well as an eagerness to please, making her a perfect companion for a runner’s journey.

……..

We work with The Monster Miles each and every week to profile local running dogs waiting to be adopted. The Monster Milers are a group of runners who help shelter dogs burn off  energy and get much-needed exercise by taking them on runs around the city. If you’re not in the market for a pup right now, but would still love to help out homeless dogs, you can always become a Monster Miler volunteer. Find out more about how to get started with the volunteer process here.
