Meet Elfish Presley, This Week’s Adoptable Running Dog

When the Monster Milers sent us this week’s adoptable running dog, we couldn’t help but chuckle at her name. I mean, Elfish Presley? Come on—that is just too darn clever. But it really fits: This dog has the most adorably pointy elfish ears you can imagine. See more pics of this awesome four-legged running buddy, and find out how you can take her home below.

Name: Elfish Presley

Age: Seven months

Breed: Pit bull mix

Size: 30 pounds

Background: Elfish was surrendered to animal control.

Running style: Elfish starts off her run with lots of intensity but after a few blocks her pace evens out.  With her being only 7 months, she can’t do really long or fast runs yet (short runs or walk/run combos until her growth plates are closed).  But, she has the build and energy that will eventually make a perfect training companion and would do best in an active household.

Why Elfish is awesome: She’s a sweet girl who is looking to please. Elfish may be a ball of energy but she listens well to commands, relaxes and snuggles at red lights, and loves to give kisses. She also loves grass more than anything and will go from run to plop as soon as she comes across some! Elfish would really love a grassy yard to call her own. Could it be yours?

……..

The Monster Milers are a group of runners who help shelter dogs burn off  energy and get much-needed exercise by taking them on runs around the city. If you’re not in the market for a pup right now, but would still love to help out homeless dogs, you can always become a Monster Miler volunteer. Find out more about how to get started with the volunteer process here.
