Welcome to our new Monday feature, the #BWPSelfie of the Week! Read about why we’re celebrating selfies—and the sweaty Philadelphians who take them—below.

Name: Jennifer Mercuri

Day job: Bone Marrow Transplant RN

Where she snapped this: Wissahickon Park

What she was doing: Trail running/Getting lost in the beauty of the park.

What she was listening to: Hozier - "Take me to Church." Loving his voice right now.

Her favorite thing about running in the Wissahickon: I'm not familiar with all the paths out there, but there are many and they are well marked. If you're in the mood, you could trail run forever. Not knowing where the path may lead makes the run more exciting! Seeing cute dogs enjoying the trail as much as I do is a close second.

Where else she goes for trail runs: My second favorite spot to trail run is Valley Forge Park.

How she stays motivated to sweat: Bring on the energy! I feel revved up after a great run. Using my Nike running app, I can quickly recall how I felt the last time I was on my feet. The app helps you stay in competition with yourself—beating your own records feels so good!
