Did you know the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (that’s MANNA for short) has a running club? They do—it’s called the MANNAmals (Ha!) Run Club—and their next run is this Thursday, July 24th.
The monthly running club started back in April, external affairs director Rob Saxon tells me, but this week they’re debuting new “destination” runs—i.e. runs that end at a fun location around the city. This month’s four-miler will take the group to City Tap House, where MANNAmals (nope, doesn’t get old) will enjoy happy hour specials: $4 select craft beers, $5 specialty cocktails and $6 select red and white wines.
The run starts at 5:30 p.m. at MANNA headquarters (2323 Ranstead Street), heads along the Schuylkill River Trail, and ends at City Tap House in University City (3925 Walnut Street). Pack light, as there won’t be bag check.
The runs are free and open to all. RSVP over on Facebook.
