On August 2nd, the Road Runners Club of Woodbury is hosting its third annual Hot Run in the Summertime 5K, a blowout bash with free beer and a cookout at the finish line.

The course takes you through quaint Woodbury, New Jersey, starting and ending near Charlie Brown's Fresh Grill. That's where the post-run after party will be held, where you'll hang out in the Sam Adams Outdoor Beer Garden and sip your free beer (one is included in the registration fee). Also free for runners are hot dogs, hamburgers and wraps, as well as vegetarian options, as part of the post-race cookout. A DJ will be on hand spinning your favorite summertime tunes.

Prizes will be given out to top finishers, and there will be contests at the after party to win fun swag. Everyone will get a tech shirt for participating.

Registration is $40 through August 1st. Get more info and sign up here.

Good workout followed by lousy food. Oh, that makes sense….NOT!
