Be Well Philly Boot Camp is less than three weeks away, ladies! I hope you’re getting psyched, because we have a ton in store for you this year.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be introducing you to some of our presenters so you can get to know what they’re all about and get excited to meet them on June 7th. First up is beauty nutrition expert Jolene Hart, a former-beauty-editor-turned-health-coach whose writing chops and expert know-how come together in her just-released book, Eat Pretty. It’s packed with tips and recipes that will help you eat your way to glowing, healthy, gorgeous skin.
Here, Jolene answers 10 questions about herself, and gives you a taste of what she’ll talk about at Boot Camp. She’s presenting at 10:30 a.m. in our Speakers’ Lounge. Check out the full schedule here.
My name is … Jolene May Hart. It reminds everyone of the Dolly Parton song, ‘Jolene.’ But I wasn’t named after Dolly! My parents chose Jolene because it sounded like a hybrid of their own names, John & Leona.
I am a … beauty editor and health coach obsessed with making beauty a lifestyle.
The thing I always repeat to clients is … listen to your body. No one else knows exactly what you need.
I judge myself by … the way I feel—physically, emotionally.
The best change I’ve ever made for my health is … making cooking a priority so I could ditch processed and packaged foods!
The biggest thing I learned from writing my book is … nature is incredible in its innate wisdom to nourish us with exactly what our bodies need each season.
My skin is at its best when … I fill my diet with the foods in Eat Pretty! And when I’m on vacation.
I feel inspired when … my clients tell me they look and feel better than they have in years.
The best advice anybody’s ever given me is … be clear on what your priorities are, and don’t stress about the rest.
One day I hope to … travel around the world.
