A morning run that ends with a sun-soaked potluck picnic in the park sounds like something out of a fairytale. But lucky for us, the Springtime on the Schuylkill Fun Run and Potluck is totally real. And it’s happening on April 5th, so you’d better start looking for that picnic blanket your stored in a box somewhere in your basement at the start of winter.

The event, hosted by Philadelphia Runner, brings Philly’s running clubs together for a fun day of exercise and eating. What more could you ask for? The run kicks off at the Art Museum steps and winds down at the very picnic-worthy Schuylkill Banks for a re-energizing potluck brunch. As of now, there are 10 clubs registered for the event, including West Philly Runners, Fishtown Beer Runners, South Philly Striders Running Club and more.

The event is open to everyone, including folks who don’t belong to a running club. Just be sure to pack your own picnic basket: Food and drinks are BYO. You can find out more about the event and register your club here.

Free; April 5th at 9 a.m., Philadelphia Art Museum Steps, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia
