How Many Calories Are in Your Favorite Girl Scout Cookies?

Girl Scout Cookie season is both a blessing and a curse. I mean, who doesn’t look forward to opening a fresh box of Tagalongs? But delving into a box of Girl Scout Cookies is a slippery slope: One minute you’re “just going to have one” and the next minute, well, the box is empty.

Now, I would never suggest you steer clear of Girl Scout Cookies altogether because, c’mon, that’s just torture. But after reading these calorie counts, you might think twice before devouring an entire box of Samoas.

I would also like to draw your attention to the serving sizes for each cookie variety, as they vary. It looks like, to keep the calorie totals somewhat similar, the cookie makers have adjusted the serving sizes accordingly. So to get the most bang for your satiety buck, for example, you're better off going with four Thin Mints than two Tagalongs. In other words, consume wisely.

(Note: To all the vegans out there who thought that Girl Scout Cookies were off limits, a bunch of them are surprisingly vegan-friendly! Girl Scout Cookies and Oreos, who knew?)

Year after year it strikes me that the Girl Scouts couldn’t have worse timing on their annual sale. Have the Scout leaders ever considered that the Janaury/February post holiday timeframe is the worst time to try and sell cookies? Aren’t most people, even the non resolutionists, are trying to cut back from the holiday sweet overload?
