Leave it to our friends at Philly Dance Fitness to be on top of all-things dance news in Philly. PDF owner Deborah Hirsch posted on her blog yesterday that FOX dance-competition show So You Think You Can Dance will be casting in Philly later this month. The show will set up shop at the Merriam Theater on January 20th for open auditions.

If you want to try out (you are gutsier than me, dear friend), you should plan to show up at the theater no later than 8 a.m. The fine print also says you should plan to clear your schedule for the following two days, when producers will be doing callbacks.

With help from the Daily News's Molly Eichel, the Philly Dance Fitness folks also unearthed a link to get tickets to watch the callbacks as part of the audience. Looks like there are four audience slots available on January 21st and 22nd. Get your free tickets here.
