If you heart Food in Jars (either the blog or the cookbook, or both), you’ll want to make a point to hit up the Whole Foods Market in Plymouth Meeting next Monday to get an in-person canning/cooking lesson with Marisa McClellan, the brains behind the local canning site. She’ll be teaching attendees how to make and preserve honey-sweetened cranberry sauce, which would make the perfect side dish at Thanksgiving and the perfect hostess gift during the holidays. Win win!

Marisa will stick around after the workshop to sign books and answer questions, and each participant will go home with a jar of cranberry sauce to enjoy. Get more details and sign up here.

$35, November 4th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Whole Foods Market, 500 West Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting.
