    Seems like a whiney article full of excuses, but I agree with this line, “the only really good reason to do a marathon is because you really want to.” That’s what I always tell people–that you CAN do a marathon if you want it bad enough. After having done one, I think I’ll stick to halfs…I do want a life. :)

    The article on why you should not do a marathon is pathetic. All of those reasons are not true and most of them are psychological reasons telling the reader not to run one. I’m surprised that an article like this got printed (posted). Granted, I’ve never run a full marathon, only a half. With proper training and discipline you can run one.
