Philly Bars Serving Pink Beer in October for Breast Cancer Awareness

Bucks County microbrewery Free Will Brewing Co. is cooking up a run of pink—yes, pink—beer to debut in Philly bars next month. It’s part of the brewer’s awareness-building efforts for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with $1 from the sale of each pint going to Penn Medicine’s Rena Rowen Breast Cancer Center. The Saison de Rose, which I got to try last week, is a sweet and floral pale ale made with pink grapefruit, pink peppercorns, ginger and hibiscus—all of which lend to its very noticeable pink hue. Basically, it’s the perfect girly beer.

The beer will debut at a weekend-long release party at Devil’s Den in South Philly on October 4th through 6th. Then it’ll land in a bunch of bars across the city and surrounding ‘burbs for the month of October. Here’s where you’ll be able to find it:
