Philadelphia Community Acupuncture’s West Philly Location Is Closing

Philadelphia Community Acupuncture announced on its blog last week that in October, it will shutter its West Philly location. The clinic is located at 701 South 50th Street in the Firehouse Building, which also houses Firehouse Bicycles and the Dock Street Brew Pub. The Mt. Airy location at 538 Carpenter Lane will remain open.

“It is with heartbreaking sadness that I tell you this news,” writes owner Ellen Vincent on PCA’s blog. “In mid October, the west philly location of PCA needs to close down. After facing a lease renewal and checking in with Bob, Sarah, and Billy, I learned that they all had plans to leave. Other plans to bring people in fell through. And I see no other choice at this point but to close. I am so sorry.”

The clinic, which offers sliding-payment-scale acupuncture treatments for $15 to $35 each, will offer limited hours through October: Mondays through Thursdays from 3 to 7, Fridays from 9 to 1, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 to 3.
