How awesome does this sound? Five wineries across NJ and PA will be converted into racing sites this fall for the 2013 Run the Vineyards series. Races will be held in Atco, New Jersey; Cape May; Chadds Ford; Mullica Hill; and Shamong, New Jersey.
The courses include both dirt and paved trails winding through quiet vineyards, some flat, some with easy, rolling hills. Sounds pretty peaceful, if you ask me. Organizers will give out prizes to top finishers, but the real reward is the wine tasting at the finish line. Register here.
$35 to $40 depending on the race. Race dates and locations are as follows:
Atco: September 14th at 9 a.m., Amalthea Cellars, 209 Vineyard Drive, Atco.
Cape May: September 22nd at 9 a.m., Cape May Winery, 711 Town Bank Road, Cape May.
Chadds Ford: September 29th at 9 a.m., Penns Woods Winery, 124 Beaver Valley Road, Chadds Ford.
Mullica Hill: October 29th at 9 a.m., Heritage Vineyards, 124 Richwood Road, Richwood.
Shamong: November 10th at 9 a.m., Valenzano Winery, 1090 US 206, Shamong.
