To Do: City Running Tours Is Hosting a Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon Preview Run

Learn about Philly's musical past and present while getting in shape for the big race.

I never feel like I really know a city until I get a chance to walk its streets—even better if I get to run them. No one knows this better then the folks over at City Running Tours, who get groups of tourists and locals alike to hoof it around the city while learning interesting facts and tidbits as they go.

CRT is putting on a special event on July 27th to get people hyped for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in September. This five-mile run is intentionally set at a conversational running pace, so that tour guides can dish out historical tidbits on all the awesome landmarks along the way. This tour will try to hit on Philly’s musical highlights such as the Opera House and Boyz II Men’s old high school. Rock ‘n’ Roll giveaways will be handed out after the tour. Sign up here.

$25, July 27th at 9 a.m., City Running Tours, 1601 Sansom Street, Philadelphia.
