Take your lunch break a little later tomorrow and head over to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness’s website, where, at 2 p.m., experts will convene to talk about gluten-free diets and how they impact athletic performance and endurance. It’s an interesting topic when you consider that part of the pre-hard-workout routine for a lot of runners and other endurance athletes is a big ol’ meal of carbs. (Those spaghetti dinners before the Philadelphia Marathon aren’t for nothin’, folks.)
