Need Running Motivation? Join the Rise and Run Virtual Running Club

Local yoga instructor Brittany Wallrath is taking on a new challenge—and she's inviting you to join her.

It’s no shock to regular Be Well readers that I suck at getting up and working out first thing in the morning. But just because I can’t seem to muster myself to do it doesn’t mean I don’t want to be a morning workout person. Could you imagine how much more productive my day would be if it started with a little sweat?

Apparently, I’m not the only one with this problem. Local yoga instructor Brittany Wallrath is launching a virtual running club on Monday aimed at helping non-morning-workout-people, like me, learn how to get out of bed and embrace the a.m. sweat session. In her own words:

I’ve completed a few 5Ks, a 10 mile race and a Sprint Triathlon and after each one I fall out of the rhythm of running. I never fully properly train because finding time to run is nearly impossible for me.  I also know there is a HUGE number of people who are in the same boat.

Yup, I’m totally with you.

And so Brittany is launching what she calls the Rise and Run Virtual Club. It’s basically an email list and a (private) Facebook group that’s free to join, where you’ll get motivation and inspiration from fellow Rise-and-Run participants. Great idea, right? You can also follow along on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #riseandrunclub. Check out the deets and join here.
