To Do: Get Fit with Your Kids at Wawa’s Welcome America Festival

This year's Go 4th & Learn program includes a day of fitness just for kids.

Schooool’s out for summer! If you have kids, this could be a less joyous anthem than intended, since it means you’re stuck at home with them allll day. Here’s a way to keep them occupied.

Wawa is planning a little something to help keep kids smart and fit this summer at its Welcome America festival next week. They’re doing a free and fun series called Go 4th & Learn, which includes interactive and educational programs on a range of topics—from history to farming—to get kids engaged.

Next Wednesday, the topic du jour is fitness. The program will include Zumba so you can dance with your kids, martial arts, and a 6.5-acre playground with a giant wooden slide. Mayor Nutter and former Eagles’ defensive tackle Hollis Thomas will also stop by to read to the kids. Learn more here.

FREE, July 3rd from 10 a.m. to noon, Smith Memorial Playground in East Fairmount Park, 3500 Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia.
