The Checkup: 6 Flu-Remedy Recipes from Bon Appétit

Feeling under the weather? These recipes can only help.

• I can’t vouch for the fact that any of the recipes Bon Appétit touted this week as flu remedies will actually heal you of your viral woes. In fact, I can pretty much guarantee that they won’t heal you of anything. But what I can safely bet is that these six recipes will a) taste delicious and b) make you feel all warm and wonderful inside. And with so many of us feeling downright yucky right now, anything’s worth a shot, no? Head over here to find chef-made recipes for spicy (read: sinus-clearing) Korean Beef Noodle Soup, Get Well Green Tea Smoothie, Smoky Matzoh Ball Soup, Influenza Rx Sorbet (made with Maker’s Mark—nice), and more.

• No less than 17 people emailed me this link yesterday, so I’m doing my duty (doody? Ha.) and sharing it here. If you haven’t seen it already, head over to the New York Times to read all about how ingesting someone else’s feces is a really primo way of curing intestinal infections. Yum!
