To Do: Karaoke Yoga at Dhyana Old City

Yoga + karaoke = one awesome workout.

When you think of two things that go great together, what’s the first thing that crosses your mind? Maybe peanut butter and jelly, crackerjacks and baseball games, ham and cheese? Well, here’s a new one for you: karaoke and yoga.

This unlikely combination was brought together by California native and yoga instructor Jennifer Pastiloff, whose imaginative and fun approach to her classes have made her quite popular among yogis in the Los Angeles area. On September 7th, she’ll be stopping by Dhyana Yoga’s Old City location to host her signature Karaoke Yoga class. You’ll have a blast singing along (probably off-key) to your favorite Beetles, Journey, or Michael Jackson tunes with your fellow students. At the same time, you’ll connect with your practice and those around you in a new way, and get one heck of a workout to boot. For more information and to register, go here.

$30 before September 1st, $35 afterwards; Friday, September 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Dhyana Yoga Old City, 68 North Second Street, Philadelphia.
